To become a citizen, you must speak and read English. I shouldn't have to press "1" for English when I call a business, You can't even read 1/2 the signs in the stores now days cause they're in Spanish, or for that matter the packages. Learn and speak English, or go home!

Mexico has Spanish, Italy has Italian, Germany has German, France has FrenchBUT there is no set language in the US. To become a citizen you must learn and pass the test to speak and read english, that doesn't mean you have to use it from that point on and many don't. I'm not saying this is right or wrong but it would end much of the confusion.
