Is anybody else having a problem with chickweed taking over your yard or pastures? And does anybody know what to use to kill it without killing your grass. TIA

What's it look like??
I think i probably have it, and doing the "broadleaf weed killer' too. Just did the first application, give it a month or two, and I'll do it again. If that fails, have to think about killing everthing and just reseeding in the fall.
Has little white flowers and looks like this. Pretty easy to pull up.

I have a couple areas in my yard with it... It is very easy to pull up [roots and all] so I try to scan the yard and pick up any that I see...
I also have a lot of this. We call it cheeseplant. Small leaves.

The problem with killing everything is that not only is taking my yard over it is also taking my horse pasture also. Seems like it gets worse ever year.

Your best defense for your horse pasture is a healthy stand of grass. If you over graze, you kill off the grass. You might as well be inviting the weeds.
Is it trailing? If so, it's ground ivy.
Can't do much about the horses pasture, but the yard.....go to hardware store. Lowes or ACE has it also. Get "Ortho Dial a spray and Ortho lawn weed killer." They used to make a chickweed and clover killer, but I haven't been able to find it in awhile. This thing attaches to your garden hose, fill the attached jug with the weed killer and dial in the oz/gal to use. I fight the chickweed every year. After about 3 applications, 1 per week, it's history. The problem with killing everything is that not only is taking my yard over it is also taking my horse pasture also. Psssst - Desertrat and Buttercup: Don't believe a WORD Cowgirl says. This has been a PSA.

I'm serious this time! Google it.
And in the meantime it crowds out the grass, making more room for it once the temp goes down.Chickweed is a winter annual. It will naturally die back in the hot summer.
