Chiggers

My fiance was helping his friend put up a deer stand Saturday. They came back both covered with chiggers. They hopped in the shower right away. Not before passing some of the little suckers over to me and his buddy's wife first. They still have a lot of bites. I think I counted 5 or 6 on myself. They are itching like crazy!

I've taken small cotton balls, put some alcohol on them, and used a band-aid to cover the bites. It's not a permanent fix, but it sure does give me some itch relief for a few hours!

Chigger-RID worked for me! Used Chigger-X as well. They both work pretty well.

We tried the Chigger-X. Didn't do much for me. I actually think the Band-aide Anti Itch gel works a lot better! I love that stuff for my mosquito bites!!

They bite you, can fall off or they can stay attached and continue to feed. Finger nail polish smothers the infected area, which stops not only any chigger from continuing to feed on you, but also (mentally perhaps) stops the itching as bad. It's also harder to scratch at something under nail polish. Scratching makes everything worse.

Do some research before you fly your :bs: flag.

:yeahthat: I got loaded with them a couple of weeks ago. Clear fingernail polish took care of them and prompted me not to scratch as much.
