And your payments are about half of daycare. Seems fair to me. And if you start keeping him on Sunday nights as well you can have support refigured because one of the factors is over nights with each parent. That alone would up your overnights by 52 a year and would lessen your financial responsibility to her.
i don't care about the money. it is the point that she is a pos. i will take my son anytime and pay what ever is needed. the point that she spends less time every week with him, pawns him off every week to family. all i want is custody, and she can have visitation.

Well then quityerbitchin about her making more money and you having to pay support. Take her to court. It's not unheard of for the father to get custody.

By the way could you please ask her to return my Barbie?

So you really feel sorry for her and feel that you're asking too much?

And why are you referring to yourself in the 3rd person???

Dear Joe, I hope you get this
You've been very hard to find
I'm sure you know your payments
Are running months behind
So I'm writing just to tell you
Not to worry anymore
I sure could use the money
But I've got my child support
He wakes me up each morning
With a happy face
And brings a little heaven
To this lonely place
His hands are tiny
And his legs are short
But I lean upon him
For my child support
Joe, I started working
At a new department store
My sister watches Billy
Everyday from 8 'til 4
And I keep on cuttin' corners
So he has everything he needs
I hope I help him half as much
As he's been helpin' me
You ought to see him smiling
When I come home from work
You could never pay me
What that look is worth
He doesn't have a lawyer
He's never been to court
But he's right on time
With his child support
He goes to bed each evening
With his teddy bear
Pulls up the covers
And says a little prayer
And I've been prayin' too Joe
Yes I thank the Lord
For that little angel
And his child support

First, everything Catt said is right *again*

I only know a little bit about her but look at it this way she's irresponsible and lazy. By forcing the issue, you are helping your son and Ex at the same time. Maybe she'll take the responsibility given her and do the right thing.

Right now, she gets to play Disney Mommy... It's not fair to you or the boy.

Well, I was the other one who said let it slide. And the only reason I say that, is because I'm putting myself into that position, and if something ever happened to my wife and I, and I get custody, and she slacks off, I'm not going to sweat it too much. (And it doesn't have anything to do with pity, or how dear that extra $50 a week is to her.)

Truthfully, it is the ex's responsibility, and it says a great deal about her that she shirks that responsibility.

I'd nag her about it from time to time, but I don't think I'd bring the courts into it, because it's a big hassle for everyone involved, it cost too much, it's just more stress on the kid, and in the end, is that $50 really going to make a difference to you?

But that's just MHO.

That might be it. then again it is her choice to be poor. She will not keep a job, as soon as she gets in there she begins biatching at everyone and either quits in a huff or gets fired.

I agree for the most part but to answer your question $55 a week for the next 10 years is $28,600 plus the $3300 she is behind already totals $31,900 or 2.4 years at Georgia Tech, 2.6 years at University of GA, almost 4 years at U of Maryland.
