Chime in with your snow reports!

Snowing steadily, over 8" on the ground and it is still coming down, calling for 14 - 20 before it is done. :yahoo:

Central VA got about 5-6 inches of heavy, but not wet, snow. It stopped this morning, so I cleared the driveway and walks. It started melting on the blacktop, even tho there is no sun or solar gain.

Still calling for more wet stuff this afternoon.

Just went out to clear the satellite dish, up over 14" now and it ain't looking to slow anytime soon. Last report I heard said it won't slack off until after 5:00 PM.

No big deal compared to elsewhere, but...

There is a thin wintry mix blowing across the lake at my place in Lusby, with a north wind behind it. Been doing that off and on all day. No impact on driving conditions, except that I have no desire to go out in it.

Yes, here in Lusby we have a lot of everything falling heavily with lightning & thunder within the past 20 minutes.

My daughter came home (St. Leonard) yesterday because her fiancée snow plows and would be at it for at least 24 hours. She was going to stay tonight also but thought she should drive back to Olney this afternoon in that window when it had stopped (4-6pm). Do you know she made it all the way home to get stuck on her street because it had not been plowed? Her fiancée saved the day, and broke off his plowing job temporarily to help plow the street, plow their driveway, and get her unstuck. My hero! :yahoo:
