According to a new report According to the Wall Street Journal, Saudi Arabia is in active talks with Beijing to price its oil sales to China in Chinese renminbi (yuan). The move would break the US dollar’s dominance in the global oil market and signal another shift towards Asia by the world’s largest crude oil exporter.

The news comes at a time when a $10 billion refinery and chemical complex owned by Saudi Aramco, the world’s largest oil producer, is being put together in northeast China obtain. Saudi Arabia’s turn to China is partly a natural progression, as China is the largest consumer of Saudi crude oil and growing. However, Wall Street Journal sources say talks with China over oil prices in yuan have accelerated over the past year.

The sources point to the kingdom’s dissatisfaction with Washington’s attempts to strike a deal with Iran, Washington’s lack of support for intervention in Yemen’s civil war and the US’ hasty withdrawal from Afghanistan. According to the report, the Saudis are also “increasingly dissatisfied with decades of US security commitments to defending the kingdom.”

That's awesome. Ask Hillary what happened when Gadaffy tried that. "We came. We saw. He died. LOL"
Can you direct me to where the failed Mulatto sought, and was granted Congressional approval to invade a sovereign nation that was NO THREAT to us, prior to that illegal invasion?
I can't seem to find it anywhere...

A little more drilling……”duh”
Doesn't matter - that will not make us "energy independent". We never have been, never will be.

Spelled out for the under-informed and not rational enough to understand: not all of our American refineries can process the American flavors of crude that comes from our lands.

We are a net exporter of crude and some refined products. We are (and will always be) a net importer of cheap crude (read: easier to process and refine) and the more valuable refined products.

We actually like and prefer it this way.

Really? So June 6, 1944 was a "kinetic military action"?
So was Korea?
And Vietnam?
And every OTHER military action we have been in since 1942?

The why come BOTH Bushes needed Congressional approval before their invasions?
If I'm not mistaken, the first kinetic Military Invasion was...Libya, in 2011!!

Makes it hard to keep up when the Dems keep moving those posts to suit them...

AGAIN...Sovereign Nation
AGAIN...no threat to the safety & Security of the United States
AGAIN...Congress, nor the American People had any knowledge
AGAIN...just MORE illegal chit from the installed puppet, known as Barack Obama...formerly known as Barry Sotero...aka Bath house Barry

He did not need to seek approval. The broad scope of the AUMF of 2001 states - "That the President is authorized to use all necessary and appropriate force against those nations, organizations, or persons he determines planned, authorized, committed, or aided the terrorist attacks that occurred on September 11, 2001, or harbored such organizations or persons, in order to prevent any future acts of international terrorism against the United States by such nations, organizations or persons."

Thus, if the President determines that his actions were to prevent future attacks it was authorized.

Surprise its not enough and never has been and there is plenty enough to go around so why not retrieve it for us to use
By the way I changed my name and avatar
I agree with you that there is plenty of oil. But the larger point is that drilling it won’t make the US any more “energy independent” for reasons I’ve already mentioned.

There is enough oil to last at least through my great grandchildren’s lifetimes, likely much longer. But it’s going to get more and more expensive to extract and refine.
