Chipotle - help me understand this

I went to the credit union this afternoon and you couldn't even get in the parking lot because of all the cars at and around Chipotle. Seriously, their parking lot was full to overflowing, with cars lined up along the little road between Chipotle and the credit union. It was crazy.

What is so freaking good about that place that people flock there in droves?? I've eaten there a few times and was underwhelmed. It's better than Taco Bell but not worth parking on the side of the street to get to. Is it just herd mentality?

I like it because you can order any combination you want and are able to mix it up. Not a standard cookie cutter menu and it's fresh.

They announced that they will be not making their famous Guacamole anymore. At least for awhile. Due to shortage of avocados I think. Guess everyones going to get their share before its gone.:shrug: Thats all I got.

Their parking lot is painfully small and they are a pretty quick place to grab some lunch if you got to get back to work.

Not sure what you are expecting out of a burrito it's not like it's prime rib.

Several years ago they had buy one burrito get one free coupons on facebook, that place was packed with people waving coupons, me included.

Towards the end of my dads life he was 140 lbs and he could put away enough food to make a competitive eater loosen their belt. He had digestion issues where he got very little from the food he ate.

I love Chipotle.

It's fresh, it's easily customizable to your specific taste, it's quick, and it's delicious. I rarely go out to lunch, but when I do, this is on my 'go to' list.

I think that's what's so great about it...it's fresh, and quick and not like fast food/greasy unhealthy mess.... I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE it !!! at least once a week :cheers:

Me too, but not as much as I used too. At my old job, my office mates and I had a Chipotle's Day every week. :lol:

I love Chipotle, too. I love the fresh, customizable aspect as well as the whole utilization of local foods. I like their position on meats with regards to antibiotics and hormone usage as well as treatment and slaughter. I also really appreciate their app that lets me order and pay for my food beforehand so that I only have to (literally) run in and pick it up. I like that they're generally friendly, kinda like Chickfila. I'll pay a little extra for all that.

The only thing I'm not so fond of is the whole traffic flow of the California/Lexington Park location. That's a very common complaint of mine, though, I just don't understand the rationale behind any of it.
