I have seen both AMW segments about this. The CCSO has asked for that caller to call back but they havent heard from them. I have spoken to a few Charles County officers and they seem to believe the caller is also the shooter. That is why they were so calm when they called. They also believe the shooter was in Bennigans that night. It is sad that someone can get away with this. His parents need closure so they can move on with their lives. Also I had seen the Sylvia Browne episode on Montel and I didnt think she named anyone. i wasnt really impressed with the episode, i thought she was stabbing for information and really couldnt come up with any hard evidence or information.

Any belief in Sylvia Brown went down the tubes many years ago when she said laws would be changed and Bill Clinton would serve a third term as president

He was such a beautiful man. Didn't know him, but I can see his light in the pictures. It's a sad shame Charles County is in charge of this investigation.

Did you see the Fox 5 piece on Chris?? Looking at his picture you could still see the light in his eyes!!!! He was such a good man with so much heart, not only for his family, but whoever he came in contact with...He lived each day like it was his last..this much I can say

I also beleive what you are saying about Sylvia Brown....But with a son who was just coming home from work, just 3 blocks away from his family, and gets killed with a single shot to the head....as a mom, I would do what ever to find out who would do this to her son...He had so much to live for!!! 106.7 FM the Junkies have been talking about this intermittently. Guess Chris used to be an intern for them. They had the lead CCSO on for an interview and played the recording of the 911 call. The officer would not speculate officially or otherwise.

I can completely understand that and I see walking to the sun and back to find out why and WHO, but I also can see how this could create false hope. I mean if she has proven psychic ability then I guess thats one thing, but if deep down she or anyone else knows she's a fraud, then she is doing nothing but hurting these families. Chris was a great person and the truth should be known, but I dont know if that was such a good resource.........

Chris was a intern for the Sports Junkies...and when Chris traveled all over trying for ESPN, he would talk each day with them about his travels....
The Junkies have also posted on their web site for anyone who would like to donate to the Chris Mader Memorial Fund.....Money talks, and hopefully someone will talk...Todate the fund has $60,000 dollers....Do whatever it takes!!

Yes, that was Chris' ultimate dream to work for ESPN. I meet him while he was a bartender, he seemed to be a great guy, and if you got him talking about ESPN, he would not stop, he seemed to have the personality, drive, ambition, passion and love of sports to succeed at ESPN, had his life not been so unfairly cut short.

I hope that money does talk, its s shame you have to offer money for someone to come forward and do the right thing. I cant beleive it has taken this long. I feel for his family and I pray they will have some type of closure to the nightmare that they live daily.

I would do anything and everything. My comment was in no way directed toward the family. It was directed towards "psychic" sylvia brown. I dont know her accuracy record but I just think its wrong for these "psychics" to be doing this if they know deep down they are a fraud. Its one thing to read palms and tell someone their future in 20 years but when its something like this............ I guess it really depends on how much you really believe in psychics to begin with

It is sad that money might bring someone out into the open...But whatelse can the family do?? And how much money is enough?? if you were to go to google, and type in chris mader murder....there is pages of newspaper clippings that have been done on Chris....And the family is still taking donations to go even higher....Chris's mom has not been in the spotlight in over a year..Her health is so bad...THE BONDS THEY HAVE FOR THEIR SON ARE EVERLASTING....they will do whatever it takes to find out why.

Three years ago, Christopher Abraham Mader was shot and killed while driving home from his job as a bartender at a local restaurant early Thanksgiving morning. The Charles County Sheriff’s Office continues its efforts to solve the case, now re-assigned to the newly-formed Cold Case Detail.

The murder occurred about 3 a.m. Nov. 25, 2004. Mader, who was 23, had finished work at Bennigan’s Grill and Tavern in Waldorf and was in his car approaching the entrance to his neighborhood, Hampshire, at the intersection of Smallwood and St. Stevens Drives in Waldorf. A bullet entered the driver’s side window, killing Mader while his vehicle crashed on the side of the road.
