Christmas for Daycare Providers

What about for teachers in a daycare center? Still the same recommendations? A bonus is tough, I would think, because I don't pay her teacher, I pay the center (and I know she doesn't get all of what I pay).

And how do you handle mutiple teachers? My daughter has a teacher she absolutely loves from 6:00 - 3:00, and is then with another teacher from 3:00 - until I pick her up (around 4:30). Would you buy for both teachers? And how about the owner, who also spends time with her?

That turned out to be a lot of questions - sorry!

I have garlic breath.
I've read that if you are pleased with your current provider, a full weeks pay is appropriate. Both my mother and sister are daycare providers, and this is usually what they get. But I could see half a weeks pay as being acceptable as well.

In this situation it is a day care center and not a single provider, so I would just do a small gift to all 3.

Our daughters go to a day care center. Since there is a few people (more then 3) we find out the spelling of all their names and get a small gift from the kids. And my wife and I buy them all lunch one day. This year will be like last. We purchase a platter of subs from Subway and a platter of chicken nuggets from Chickfala. And I usally make some other treat and they have a nice lunch that's been paid for. This has worked out great for the past couple of years.

I am so very blessed
My daycare staff goes out to dinner periodically as a group (ok....there are only five people), but I plan on getting them gift cards to Outback that will pay for each of their meals. This will amount to a weeks' worth of what I pay the daycare for Bubba's care.

Do you think that they'd like this, or do you think that they'd rather have the money?

I think it's a great gift and shows you put thought into personalizing the gift cards rather than just snatching gift cards off a rack willy-nilly. :yay:
