Christmas Tree Farms

:howdy:
Anyone know of any christmas tree farms locally that are not ridiculously priced and allow you to choose your tree and cut it down??

Have you tried the one on Golden Beach Rd? The one on Rt. 6 between Rt 5 & Lockes Hill Rd.? How about the one advertised with a sign in the front yard of the place on 5 just north of the county line as you head south?

But, why cut your own when you can get a 6' #1 Frasier fir from the Mechanicsville Optimists for only $40? We're getting another shippment of 213 trees tonight that were cut Monday.

There used to be a place down near Webster Field. Don't know if they're still in business or not.

Thanks

Thanks everyone! That is helpful...planning to take the kids this weekend. I'm not against buying a pre-cut tree; however, I would like to start the family tradition of going to a tree farm and cutting down our own tree like I used to do as a kid.

There is another one off Maddox Road in Chaptico (I guess that's what city it is considered.) They don't have a super huge selection this year though. And also, the one off of Route 6 (past Lettie Dent) doesn't have any you can cut down. We went there first, and they said they won't have any trees to cut for another 2-3 years. All the trees they have are from Pennsylvania.

:yeahthat: Got ours from there this year. 40$ for any tree over 5 ft tall. Great price!! Kids got to take turns cutting it down and home we went. Its the best looking tree we've ever had. :yay:
