Chromebook "Dark Mode"

How do I turn the damned thing off? I'm ready to pitch the thing. Almost every help page either:

  1. Tells me how to do it in Windows 10 (which Chromebook doesn't run) or
  2. Switch a setting in Settings that does not appear on my machine. Even with pictures and videos, my searches turn up nothing.

I hate this. Machine is utterly unreadable.

Actually I figured it out - but that site like most of the ones I visited, tells you how to disable it IN WINDOWS.
Chromebook uses Chrome OS.

I couldn't figure out after changing flags in their otherwise marked "Experimental" area that nothing changed.
I even ADDED themes which didn't work. And then I noticed some pages would load normal - and then flip to dark.
That suggested a Chrome extension just in the browser itself (it can be confusing, because everything in a Chromebook runs in the Chrome browser).

Sure enough, my brand new Chromebook had like two dozen extensions all enabled. One of them was simply a flip to dark extension which mimicked their much promoted "dark" mode. I can only guess that something like Discord probably installed it automatically.
