Circular Logic Explained for the Layman

True.
I did watch a show on Discovery Channel last week though and they were pretty much discussing the Big Bang like it was fact...I sort of went...  ok. They said that like...30% of the static on a TV (analog signal I think) was from "leftover radiation from the Big bang". or something along those lines. I found something more interesting to watch though after like 15 minutes

Haha, yea, well, its kind of like gravity. Gravity is a fact, right? Well, not really. Since it is based on the general theory of relativity, it is not a fact.

Yet, we know enough about it to kind of call it a fact. Ya know?

Kinda like we KNOW for a fact that if we throw a ball up, gravity is going to pull it back down and we call that gravity. Same way we KNOW that at one point in time everything was very very close together (note I did not say "infinitismally small point" since THAT is the theory) and it expanded into what it is today. We KNOW that. We just don't know all the details.

Haha, indeed. Her point was ridiculous. Makes her seem crazy, to be honest. And crazies are the ones that see ghosts and hear voices and believe in crazy outlandish stories of floods destroying the world and magicians conjuring bread and water.

Oh. Wait.

No lie...This weekend I was up at Assateague Island hunting with my buddy. We got tired of looking for a spot at 5am or so with hardly any light so we said "we'll just sit here and wait for daylight". Once we could see a little bit more we saw a clearing that looked like exactly what we were looking for...I said "wow...how about that...maybe 'someone' lead us here."

I stood up when the sun was fully up and realized either
A. Some divine being lead us here and our karma isn't looking so good
or
B. it was completely coincidence that we stopped there

because the place we saw that we wanted to reach, just happened to be across a long, deep tributary of water :ohwell: :lmao:
