Clams

Just finished steaming, shucking, cleaning and dicing 2 dozen quahogs. Going to make a big batch of clam chowder (Manhattan) for Christmas dinner.

Still have some baking and prep left to do. Found a nice rib roast, so that's been seasoned and placed into a vacuum bag until needed.

I knew there would be grief about the style. That's why I specifically said Manhattan.

Damn, it smells good in here. Chowder has been simmering all afternoon, and there's a ham/cheese/onion and a bacon/spinach/onion quiche in the oven.

Later I'll see about a batch of walnut cakes.
