C'mon Walmart...

Ok, I know I sound silly complaining about a big box store like Walmart, but I thought this was pretty silly. Santa is getting a trike for girlie for Christmas, but Walmart was sold out last week. Walmart online had the bike for $5 less than in the store, so we ordered it and chose the Site-to-Store option so we'd save on shipping. We were in Walmart tonight and saw the bike was back in stock. I asked the Site-to-Store guy if we could just get the one that was on the shelf, and he said sure, and we'd just have to cancel our online order. I told him that the bike had been on sale online, and it was $5 less, and he said they can't price match online prices. So they offer to beat any other store's price on the same item, but refuse to match their own price? :lmao: That makes about as much sense as a chicken with three legs. No big deal, because we're cheap enough to wait until ours comes in, because we go to Walmart frequently enough unfortunately. I just thought it was a stupid policy.

 try cancelling the order

They'll tell you to take it up front to the return desk when it comes in

That is stupid. Just like Verizon. I priced a phone online, then went to the store and asked if I could get it there. They said that the store cannot match the online price. So Verizon's Website is undercutting their own store fronts.

Online Pricing....

Unfortunately, you will find that with a lot of stores that have online availability. The prices are cheaper online than in the store. Must have something to do with the taxes or shipping costs but it is definitely out there.

You just didn't ask nice enough, lol. We have had Verizon match online pricing several times. :)

Yep. I needed a certain baking pan a couple weeks ago so I found one online at Macy's for a pretty good price. Went to Pentagon City Macy's during my lunch break at work and it was around $2 more than the online price. Not a big deal and I needed it so I bought it anyway, but still it seems strange.
