To all those opposed to Conceal Carry...

For all those who are opposed to this State becoming a “shall-issue” state versus their present ultra-restrictive method of issuing concealed carry permits, I would like to hear your response(s) to the point that Larry Gude mentions in his earlier reply to this post…

It always amazes me when people fear the law abiding more than a criminal. Then, upon educating themselves as they surely would over an irrational fear, they learn that in states where citizens carry freely that the violent crime rate is lower, but they still feel this way.

He seems to have hit the nail on the head!

Everytime concealed carry is brought up, all everyone wants to do is beat on the person who wants to legally protect themselves or their families. In the same breath, these are the same "polly-annas" who sit back and say that the crack-head who jacks someone of their purse and kills or mames someone in the process is a victim of their enviroment or was never given a chance to make in today's world.... They're probally the same bunch that believe that the police will be there to "protect" them when they need it...

Other States Loosing of Carry Laws

Facts? Or assumptions? Stats are only facts if you agree with the assumptions underlyng their collection. If you don't agee, then they are just propaganda. And it's fairly obvious that you don't agree and instead quote from sources that support your view. Big surprise. It cuts both ways. I honestly don't know what effect our gun laws have or if loosening them would curb gun crime or invite more of it.

Stats or facts.... Whatever you want to call them, I challenge you or anyone else to look at Florida's crime rates before and after the right to carry was passed and tell me what you see. You'll see an obvious decrease in the number of violent crimes...

Could it be that the criminals are having to think twice about sticking up the little old lady because.... HEAVEN FORBID!!!! She might just pull out a hand cannon and blow their their freakin' head off.... OMG, wouldn't that be a pity. Me so SAD...
