??? cold remedies ???

What's your trick for taking the Alka Selter Plus? It tastes like fizzy spit to me and I bought the Orange Burst and tried it cold and hot, wasn't happening. So now I am stuck with 9 - 2tab packs and I don't ever intend to take them again, unless you have a secret.

I just drink it really fast and try not to throw up. I try to use as little water as possible, so I have less to drink, and just down it really fast. Then I make those throwing up faces, stand still for a minute until it passes. Then go on my way.

I read somewhere that alka-seltzer will also clean your toilet, so I'm not so sure about drinking that.

most things containing the seltzer will "clean" by nature of the carbonation... (I believe).. Alka Seltzer rocks When appropriate, I'll post a story on how it helped me incredibly

Anyone have any tips or tricks for cold/flu ??

My mother cancelled our outing to the Apple Basket saturday because she was sick... so I brought her over some cream of garlic soup I had made for myself and a container of strawberries and kiwi. Saw her sunday and she looked 100% better and said she thinks that soup knocked it right out of her. She did complain about her breath though!

Nyquil use to knock me out. This time around I kept waking up every hour. Had to quit taking it so could sleep.

Hang in there is right. Going on week four for me. Doc says I have bronchitis. Gave me cough medicine that also had pain meds mixed in. Spent days hugging the toilet. Now have stopped taking that. Flushing all meds down toilet and going on my own. Do or die.

If you're not sick, be thankful. I long for the day.
