LMAO. Yes it is indeed. Don't know if you knew, but Doc is most often at the Lex Park store since Witty passed away (that's the location I deal with regularly...machines..consumables..gas bottles. Dropped 2 grand on a new portable TIG machine last month..because I just had to have it, err..one of my guys had to have it). If he's not there his nephew is. I've been doing business with Three Mules for right at 25 years now...jeez, I feel old.
Yes I am aware, I miss Wittys humor and interaction with the local working girls that were prevalent then. I have bought all my migs, suitcase, plasma cutter and Tig from either Doc or his son Brian up North, my Bobcat gas drive I bought in Indiana. I have a Air Products supply a few miles from me but it's $hit compared to the Oliver's.
All I can say is when my business was new and when the economy tanked and not making alot of cash, The Oliver's treated me like I was the best paying customer they had. And when I need to add or replace a machine, I will call Brian and give him a CC and have it shipped.
One of these days I'll tell the story of those Oliver boys getting me to go to Potomac Speedway one night, sitting up in the nosebleeds with them and talking me into drinking from a few jars and eating the peaches and apples floating in them.
Or when I complained to the esab rep about how loud the cooling fan is on my 260 machine when I bought it. I told him we couldn't hear the girls on the TV moan when the fan is running. I #### you not, two weeks later Brian called and said he had a package from esab at the store. I went and picked it up and inside was a add on circuit board that controlled the fan with temperature.along with hand written instructions on how to install the extra board.
A man has to be able to hear his porn.
Or when my son around 5 yrs old turned the key on a gas drive in the showroom and it almost started.. he hauled ass upfront making the statement,,,,, don't turn the key... Don't turn the key.. a few years later he turned the voltage on my Bobcat while I was welding and blew all the rectifier's out of it.
.Lots of fun and laughter with all those boys....
Good down to earth people..
PS... It's ok to go to Anderson's with them, but don't make the mistake of going to Quade's.
