Smoked up? Are you 85?

All you guys do is demonize the other side as sexual predators because you have no policy positions or plans that give anyone reason to vote for your side.

So you try to keep people from voting with outrageous claims like groomer and pedo.

If you haven't noticed the economy and inflation are issue's world wide. Biden and the dems don't control inflation in other countries. It's the lingering effects of Covid and price gouging by large corporations.
I don't see any of that in her post, I see a statement about food, heat and transportation. You seem to be the one with pedo on your mind.

We are talking about the messaging of the party in general not just her message. Please follow along with the thread.

Do you not think the rest of world is dealing with the same issue of rising costs of heating, food and transportation? How is that a democratic issue? Its global inflation. If people thought they Republicans alone could fix it they would have voted for them but they didnt.

That isn't OUR Problem ... but keep on with your Progressive Talking points

How is that a democratic issue?

Biden wasn't running the money machine for the rest of the world .,....

Its global inflation.

Inflation is Biden’s fault, and only Biden’s fault

The problem for Biden is that inflation, according to every Wall Street CEO I speak to, is only going to get worse no matter how much he passes the buck and blames the Russians for higher prices on everything from gasoline to food. That is, unless Sleepy Joe has an awakening and reverses his bizarre energy policies that made America dependent on despots from Russia to Venezuela. No matter how fast the environmentalists and their lackeys in the White House push for a zero-carbon footprint, we still depend on oil and gas as the lifeblood of our economy.

Yes, It's Biden's Inflation

In other words, the problem ain't Putin.

It also isn't supply chain issues alone. The core inflation rate in Europe has remained well below that of the United States; the harmonized index of consumer prices (HICP) was 5.9% in February 2022 in the Europe area, compared with 7.9% in the United States.

So, what is the problem? The problem lies in loose monetary policy from the Federal Reserve for years on end, combined with wildly irresponsible economic policy from the Biden administration. Begin with the Federal Reserve. Between 2008 and 2015, the Federal Funds Effective Rate was essentially zero. It rose to 2.39% in May 2019, then dove back down to zero amidst the COVID-19 recession. This means that the Federal Reserve essentially subsidized borrowing and spending for years on end.

But the problem didn't stop there. During the COVID-19 downturn, the Federal Reserve purchased some $4 trillion in assets, injecting liquidity into the economy in the mistaken belief that the problem was lack of demand, not lack of supply. This superheated the economy; as supply chains attenuated, prices rose dramatically.

All of this was accompanied by ridiculously spendthrift policy from the Biden administration. The Trump administration, along with a bipartisan contingent in Congress, spent nearly endless amounts of money as the American economy was subjected to an artificial coma. But the Biden administration entered office with a working vaccine and COVID-19 on the wane -- and then proceeded to inject trillions more in spending into the economy. In 2020, the government spent approximately $6.6 trillion in federal outlays; in 2021, the year of recovery, the government spent $7.2 trillion.

No, you’re making up the argument and debating yourself. It’s called a strawman and you’re not very good at it.

This Explains the Lack of a Red Wave More Than Anything Else

There are many theories about why the elections played out as they have. Many believe it was a lack of quality candidates, or the issue of abortion, or even Donald Trump. But on Wednesday, Tucker Carlson of Fox News offered his explanation for the Republican Party’s dismal midterm election results despite a favorable environment — and it makes perfect sense.

“[T]he mechanics of an election. They matter. In fact, they matter sometimes more than any individual running in the election. The way people vote makes a big difference to the outcome,” he explained.

Case in point: Pennsylvania.

“Two and a half years ago, the last administration, its Republican allies in Congress, watched passively, seemingly in glassy-eyed sedation as the Democratic Party used the pretext of COVID to rewrite election laws around the country in order to get its own candidates into office. They didn’t do it by accident. They knew what they were doing,” Carlson declared. “Last night those laws, many of which are still on the books, paid off generously. John Fetterman bombed in his one public debate. You saw it. He humiliated himself. He made a mockery of the election, but it didn’t matter by that point.”

So, what happened?

What happened is that in many districts and states all over the country, Republicans picked bad candidates. Believing that the fundamentals were all that was necessary to sweep them to victory, Republican leadership failed to intervene in these primaries to the extent necessary to ensure durable general election candidates. They stood aside largely out of fear of former President Donald Trump; Trump himself personally intervened in a variety of cases in the primaries, endorsing candidates almost solely on the basis of whether they were sufficiently sycophantic regarding the election of 2020.

Those candidates then lost.

And then Trump ripped them. Take, for example, Don Bolduc in New Hampshire. New Hampshire is a toss-up state; late polls suggested that Bolduc, despite his myriad oddities and strong support for Trump’s 2020 election fraud claims, might win the race. Instead, he lost by double digits. And Trump promptly took to Truth Social to let the world know that Bolduc deserved it: “Don Bolduc was a very nice guy, but he lost tonight when he disavowed, after his big primary win, his longstanding stance on Election Fraud in the 2020 Presidential Primary. Had he stayed strong and true, he would have own easily. Lessons Learned!!!” He also took the time to issue a statement celebrating a Democrat winning the Colorado Senate seat, ripping Republican Joe O’Dea, who had refused to countenance Trump’s election 2020 obsession: “Joe O’Dea lost BIG! MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!”

The Republican Party had one job in the 2022 election cycle: to provide some semblance of responsible leadership. Where they didn’t, they lost.

And where they did, they won.

Red wave after all? GOP winning popular vote by wide margin despite incongruous results

Republicans are currently winning the national popular vote for the House in Tuesday's midterm elections by a large margin, according to the latest data from the Cook Political Report.

Specifically, GOP candidates have so far received 50,672,592 votes, or 52.3% of the total ballots cast as of this writing. Democrat candidates, by comparison, have so far received 44,802,597 votes, or 46.2% of the total.

These figures come from Cook's 2022 National House Vote Tracker, which is being updated as states continue counting ballots.

This support for the GOP appears to fit with what pre-election polling data had suggested heading into Election Day. Several Republican candidates nationwide, including those running for the Senate and governors' mansions, had been rising in the polls in the last couple months, indicating positive momentum for Republicans.

Liberal Media FINALLY Makes a Painful Admission About the Midterms

“Republicans won control of the U.S. House on Wednesday, returning the party to power in Washington and giving conservatives leverage to blunt President Joe Biden’s agenda and spur a flurry of investigations,” the Associated Press reported through tears. Despite the admission, they tried to find a silver lining. “But a threadbare majority will pose immediate challenges for GOP leaders and complicate the party’s ability to govern.”

The Washington Post similarly lamented the GOP’s plans to hold the Biden administration accountable and thwart Biden’s agenda. “Still, a coming shift in power […] is sure to complicate the second half of Biden’s term, as Republicans gain the ability to launch investigations and block legislation.”

It’s no secret that McConnell isn’t fond of Trump or his supporters. He played along when Trump was president because he’s a classic Beltway opportunist. McConnell is more than likely going to be one of the GOP elites who pushes back against Trump’s new run at the Oval Office though. Lincoln writes that Senate Majority Leader — and thoroughly evil human being — Chuck Schumer feels that there’s an opportunity to work with McConnell and fight the “MAGA” Republicans:

But Trump and the MAGA faithful are facing other challenges. Now that Mitch McConnell is secure in his position as Senate Minority Leader, he is free to hold his ground. Breitbart reported that Majority Leader Chuck Schumer made an appearance on CNN’s “This Morning” on the 14th. During the segment, Schumer said that he had plans to talk with McConnell about “ditching” MAGA Republicans.

Here’s the thing though, the present-day GOP is largely made up of MAGA Republicans. Trump changed the party. Even if he isn’t the nominee for 2024, it will still be people he inspired who move the party forward. If McConnell decides to keep his hissy fit going, he runs the risk of alienating a large voting bloc to the point that it just stays at home and doesn’t vote.
