Computer Tower is beeping

Pookieboo!!!
This is what I am gathering from post tech forums also.

I can't narrow it down from the POST/beep list that RPM dad offered. But everyone's input is helping.

You said it beeps while you are browsing the web, right? If so, it's past the self test.

Any luck opening the side panel of the tower, and cleaning out the dustbunnies in there?

On my HP, there are 2 fans -one running on the power supply, and one cooling the the CPU directly. Usually there's dust and crap on both of them, and I use a paint brush to dislodge the junk, then vacuum it all out using a hollow plastic attachment.

You don't want to use anything metal in there, while vacuuming! Zap! :lmao:

If it's a Dell desktop it should have some error lights on the back (about 4 of them in a row). If they are not all green, then you can refer to the owner's manual to figure out the error code. Other computers may have similar indicators, but I am only familiar with Dell.

You non techies.....

It's not a beep, it's a horn.

It's horney.

Ahem...I just wanted you to know - horny - is not spelled with an "e"!

Otherwise, that might be the reason, and you're darned tootin" :lmao:

Could it be a stuck key on the keyboard?
They beep, but not only when browsing.
