Hey, by the way, see if you can't get Lynard Skynard in the near future.
:yeahthat: love me some Skynard! They tried last year but Skynard could not accept the offer because their previous venue was within a 150 mile radius. There is a local band called "Random Impact" that does a great Skynard rendition. The lead singer Jimmy even looks like he could be a VanZant.

Dont think people will pay 45.00 a ticket to see them though... You would be amazed at the cost of bands of the 70s/80s.

I think you are wrong on that one Mike. They paid it for the Allman Broths Band and they don't hold a candle to Skynard. Now it might be a little bit of a rowdy crowd once the bikers hit town; varoom, varoom.:lmao:

No I was refering to Random Impact versus Skynard, I would pay 50 for Skynard without thought.

Oh sorry, I misunderstood what you were saying. I thought you had lost your mind :lmao: Although my post was not intended that Random Impact should play at SLVFD. I was just mentioning that since we cannot seem to get Skynard local that for a LS fan.... Random Impact is a great bar band to check out.

That's cool. Brings back some memories (like a case of bud and a bottle of jim beam) as Darius might sing, of course.

Sounds like you have the scoop on the details. Let us know when the tickets are going on sale. Hope it's not as hard to get tickets for this as it is at the Calvert Marine Museum. We were lucky to get tickets last year for the Allman Brothers, and hope to get tickets for the Doobie's in June.

Hey, by the way, see if you can't get Lynard Skynard in the near future.

Looks like your wish has been granted. Check August 24. :yay:
