"Valley of the Dolls" was widely panned and almost ended Patty Duke's career.

But I think it's one of the most entertaining movies ever made and think Patty should have won an Academy Award for her portrayal of Neely O'Hara. The girls and I have watched it a zillion times and our favorite part is Neely in the alley - "NEELY O'HARA!!!!!"

So what movies did the critics savage that you really enjoyed?

I don't think I've ever seen that.... On the list now!

I absolutely LOVE "10 things I hate about you!" The critics called it an exhaustive cliche. :twitch:

The movie just speaks to me! Shakespeare or not. I Love that movie! Truly a tear jerker for Kain.

The Spitfire Grill did not get rave reviews but it is a sleeper/tearjerker for me..Grab a box of Kleenex, wine, and a tube of chocolate chip cookie dough for a good chick flick, crybaby movie.

"Waterworld" I liked it!

I use to have "Valley of the Dolls" on beta, and I liked the movie.

"The Wedding Planner" didn't get good reviews and I thought it was cute.

I liked Waterworld too :yay:
That's the first movie that popped into my head. I thought it was good and didn't understand why all the critics had such a field day with it.

:yay: I liked Waterworld, too. I've liked everything I've seen with Costner.
Me too - same with "The Postman", which I think either won, or was nominated for a Razzie.
