McCain was loved by the left - because he ran against Bush. "If only JOHN MCCAIN had run, in 2000".
So he ran, in 2008 - and suddenly, he became George Bush - he was widely referred to as a third term for Bush.
Then he was defeated. He was a bum for years - until he opposed Trump. Then he was their hero. Then he died, and they made him a national hero.
Someone whom less than ten years prior they were saying ten kinds of sh!t about.
Romney has a similar story. A moderate, left-leaning Republican who was governor of Massachusetts and was responsible for the model on which Obamacare was fashioned. But he was the enemy - until he opposed Trump. THEN he was their friend.
Expect the Utah voters to kick him out in 2024.
Another problem, we end up paying the price via taxes to fix the Sh!tholes.

Look how long we have been paying to fix Baltimore.
The shine is really wearing off that place. I was sad to see it when I was in Baltimore a couple years ago.
I've talked to people that have to go to Johns Hopkins Hospital for on reason or another that feel like that have to leave before dark to be safe. One of the preeminent hospitals in the country.
Did they ever get their own police force... or was that the university?
Don't know.
Last time I was up that way was several years ago at MD University Hospital and it was safe to walk from the Parking garage to the Hospital, albeit colorfully active.
Johns Hopkins ER is referred to by the nurses as the Baltimore knife and gun club.
I'll say it again:
Biden is NOT in charge of this country. He goes out there and reads a teleprompter (poorly), that's it. Why do you think they make him leave immediately after he's done reading and don't allow him to take questions? He himself has said he has no idea what he's signing when confronted with a stack of edicts.
