Contractor for Garage Addition

Im seriously interested in adding a garage to my house, my home is a splitfoyer and it would be attached to the house.
Any recomendations of builder's to contact to get a estimate and who should I stay away from would be great appreicated.
Im located in Northern St. Mary's. TY

I am so very blessed
Hopefully you'll have better luck with the contractors around here than we've had. We contacted three contractors and asked that they provide quotes for a 3-car garage with an apartment above, and only one came through with a VERY high bid. The second contractor promised their estimate by COB today; we shall see if it actually comes through. The third contractor never even came out to see our plans.

What about the Amish? I saw them put a large garage addition on a house over in Callaway here recently.

That could be a good direction to look to if I already had a concrete slab, but its blacktop and Im not sure, but that may have to be torn up (dont want a blacktop floor in the garage). I know the Amish are great with woodworking, but are they good working with concrete?

Contact Dave Downs V&V home improvement in LaPlata. They do great work, but thery're always busy and hard to get.

It certainly won't hurt, seeing that BadGirl is having a hard time getting anyone to come out.

At this point, I'm about ready to learn how to make mud bricks and build the damn thing myself.

Yeah, they did my uncles unattached garage. 2 car, huge loft. The place is bigger than some peoples homes.

I don't want them showing up with their ladders strapped to new Cadillac Escalades..

28K - they built me a two/plus car garage, Cape Cod style with a second floor. I came up with the plans. It's designed for a garage apartment. Had the electric done by someone else, but they can do the electric also. This is without insulation or drywall.
