Contact Dave Downs V&V home improvement in LaPlata. They do great work, but thery're always busy and hard to get.

Do you have any contact information? I googled to no success. We are looking to put an addition on our home but like everyone else, we dont want to get screwed by the contractor.

Yeah, they did my uncles unattached garage. 2 car, huge loft. The place is bigger than some peoples homes.

Ok then I have to ask. I always hear people suggest getting the amish to do it. How exactly would you go about doing that. Like how are you supposed to know who to contact? Any insight would be great because I know they have a great reputation for solid work. I just never knew how to go that route.

Look at it this way. You are basically asking them to build you another house and hook it on to your house. Of course it is going to be pricey.

28K - they built me a two/plus car garage, Cape Cod style with a second floor. I came up with the plans. It's designed for a garage apartment. Had the electric done by someone else, but they can do the electric also. This is without insulation or drywall.

Vince is it attached to the house. Im kind of figuring about 30k. Wife had talked about maybe a second floor for like a bedroom, but Im not interested in that we already have 4 bedrooms and its just the 2 of us. Im looking at 24x24 with space above for storage like a attic.
Ive also been thinking let someone put the main thing up then I can get someone to do the electric, and drywall can be done whenever, but if the price is right Ill let them do it all.

V&V put the main structure up. The only thing I had done separately was the electric. I will probably do the insulation and drywall myself as I am very familiar with these installations. The electric ran me a little over 1K and that's with digging the trench from the house to the garage myself. Mine is not attached to the house, but I designed it close enough so that if I decide to attach I would expand the kitchen and dinning room. The upstairs would then be expanded to a huge master bedroom suite with a separate bathroom. There's already two full bath's in the house, but I would re-design the upstairs.

We used Vendemia Brothers Construction and were very happy with both their estimate and the time it took them to complete the work. My neighbors were shocked at how fast our addition went up. We extended the house 8 ft and added a 30x40 garage and a 20x28 family room. We got 4 estimates for the work and Two Point was rediculously high compared to the other 3 contractors.

Does anyone have any experience with Deckplanner Inc. They do garage's also (garageadditions.com) saw a advertisement in the Pennysaver. They appear to be local, any comments good or bad. TYIA
