Remember when PG county’s finest citizens blocked it off while they cut donuts in the middle of the beltway? Cops let them walk. If the truckers show up and impede traffic on the beltway they will have the book thrown at them.
I didn’t catch all of it on the news but a DC councilwoman was commenting on how she hopes they saw what happened in Canada and learn from it.

Even if I support your cause, if you make my already unpleasant commute even worse - or **** with my livelihood (which includes going through traffic) - then **** you and your cause.

All of our livelihoods have been ****ed with because everyone wanted to politicize this pandemic. I already hate every sack of walking **** that populates the entirety of our public offices, and I giggle every time something bad happens to any of them, or if they get caught being the pieces of **** that they are, and come the revolution I will bask as justice flashes like steel.
I'd join them in any other form of protest. I'd send money, or join in whatever form of civil disobedience is called for.
But if they make it harder for me to get where I need to be, then piss on 'em. They lost my support.
They need to make it harder for the POLITICIANS - not us. You think any of those shit****s in the Capitol or the white house give a **** about traffic? You think this is going to increase hardship for them on ANY level, but optics, which already suck to begin with?

Illinois State Police threaten legal consequences for convoy participants
The Saturday afternoon announcement from ISP said "officials have become aware of a planned event along several interstate corridors scheduled for Saturday, February 26, 2022 – Saturday, March 5, 2022, where truck drivers plan to conduct a 'convoy' causing traffic delays and potentially crashes."
"Though the Illinois State Police respects the rights of citizens to express their opinions in a lawful manner, there is great concern with any event that is designed to impede or block the normal and reasonable movement of traffic," ISP Division of Patrol Colonel Margaret McGreal said in a statement. "Traffic backups are a major contributing cause to traffic crashes which lead to property damage, personal injury, and even death. A planned event designed to impede normal traffic flow is dangerous to the innocent motoring public."
Reports indicate several independent convoys from across the country could be heading to Washington D.C. in the runup or shortly after President Joe Biden delivers his State of the Union address on March 1.

arent there enough traffic cams around on all the interstates, it would be easy to spot a "convoy"? what are they, transformers hiding in the woods.
