Ok, so not actually cooking a girl named Irene. Just doing storm cooking. Some folks are doing chile, a good choice. We're doing a huge ham. What's cooking at your house?

I have beef stew in the crockpot. I also boiled some egg noodles earlier for those who want to add it to their stew. I made 2 batches of brownies this morning and chocolate chip cookies, so plenty of junk food to snack on.

I don't really understand what it is about bad weather that makes us cook like we're under siege. I mean, I do it too, but I don't get why. Is it just a primal thing?

Yesterday I did tuna casserole, which I can eat on for days. Today I did chicken soup, hard-boiled some eggs, fried up a mess of bacon, and baked biscuits. It will take me a week to eat all this. If I had other people I lived with, I could see it. But just for me?? Crazy...

I think it's just something to do while waiting for something bad to happen. Which hopeful does not happen.

You can make deliveries.

Just had a bowl of the chili I made yesterday.

It was good, but no one of my better batches. Needs something....

Had a friend who, according to her facebook posts, went on a baking binge. She kept posting all sorts of things she'd baked up. She lives alone. After two days of uncontrolled baking, donated it to the fire department.
