When we were in Lincoln it was cold and rainy, so my Mom made both sloppy joes AND goulash. 
Tonight we're doing steaks on the grill with borracho beans.

Is waterfowl season open already or was this domesticated?

Goose opened Labor Day weekend (it's a split season so not open right now), but mine are from last season.
I havent' hunted since the mid 80s but thought I remembered it being closer to Thanksgiving or so.

The early season is two weeks in beginning of Sept. for east of 301 and to the 3rd week of Sept. for west of 301. Then the main season runs 11/17-11/23 and 12/12-2/2 east of 301 and 11/17-11/23 and 12/12-3/9 west of 301.
My understanding is that may change next year.

Okay, you got me, what are borracho beans? Spicy?

Never had goose, is it white and dark meat?
Done in beer, they can be spicy or not. The other beans they have in TX are charro beans, with lots of smoked pork. Yum!
