They have been doing seat belt checks at all the area schools.emiloch said:Does anyone know why there were four or five police cars parked near Ryken this morning around 7 a.m.? It looked like maybe they were stopping people coming in, but I couldn't really tell.

A near miss accident! Say it ain't so!Airgasm said:Perhaps they need to do red light checks...
Making a left turn on to Great Mills Rd. yesterday. My light was green, just moving into the intersection when a local officer hit his lights, sireen, at the moment he was flying through the intersection. Locked-up my brakes, missed getting T-boned by about five feet. State officer followed, he however stopped at the red light to ensure a clear intersection before proceeding.
Never heard of that happening before. Maybe he should stick to driving around Ryken, whatta you think Rose?RoseRed said:A near miss accident! Say it ain't so!![]()
What's the uniform for a streetstander these days? Wouldn't you get more customers on Great Mills Road?ladylara said:i certainly would stand in the middle of those two lanes at the foot of the bridge. uniform or plain clothes!

I saw them there too, but I just assumed they were doing speed radar. They appeared to be getting a few "paying customers" but I wasn't one of them. I wasn't speeding and they didn't pull me over.ladylara said:2 cop cars were stopped near the bridge in solomons yesterday morning stopping cars - i assumed insurance checks.
just thought it was weird that one of the cops was in the road directing people to pull over. i certainly would stand in the middle of those two lanes at the foot of the bridge. uniform or plain clothes!
That's scary.Airgasm said:Perhaps they need to do red light checks...
