.....there were a Costco within a stone's throw of BJ's; just like the gas stations; ie; SHEETZ across from WaWa on 235; there would be competition for business.
Don't like the prices at one warehouse store; go across, or down the street to t'other one.

Anyone ever call you an idiot?

I have them both. The selection and savings coupons are different enough between them to make it worthwhile to me. I don't understand the "Brandywine is safer" assessment since much ot Waldor's criminal element passed through Brandywine on its way south to burn cars, break into homes, sell drugs, etc. Clientele between BJ and Costco are vastly different which will take some getting used to. With two warehouse stores to choose from, one needs to be purchasing a significant amount of merchandise to justify dues, but using them as grocery, automotive, fuel, electronics sources it can be profitable.

Anyone know the comparison ? We have a BJs membership currently but our closest is in the Dorf and I'd just like to avoid that area. Costco is at Brandywine Crossing so I was wondering ??? Brandywine is closer for us and safer !

Just my opinion. I have memberships in both. I live closer to Brandywine and shop there most of the time, but when I am looking for bulk food products I go into Waldorf BJ's as they carry a much larger variety and brand names versus store brands which I personally believe are substandard. There are advantages and disadvantages in both. Like them both tho.
