I have a Halloween costume that needs repair by this Sat.(I know, last minute, lol). One of the seams on the side is ripped apprx. 7". I need that fixed but thought while it's being fixed that maybe it could be taken in a little along with the seam on the other side. It's a short costume, stops a little above mid thigh. Can anyone help or have any suggestions of where I could go and get it back by Sat? Thanks in advance.

No, can't sew. I do want to learn though, just for these types of reasons. I even have a sewing machine, lol.

Get some needles, get some thread.
Run the thread through the eye of the needle.
Tie a little knot in the end of the thread farthest from the needle.
Hold the to pieces of cloth together and run the needle through both pieces.
Repeate this process until the split seam is repaired.
You're welcome.

LOL:lmao: I did do that for a small repair in the costume already but I'm not sure if that will hold. Fabric seems easy to rip, shouldn't be for the price I paid for the damn thing, lol.

Bachelor hint No.1:
Instead of fumbling with straight pins to hold pieces together prior to sewing, use a stapler.

If seems are splitting on a regular basis, it ain't the sewing. Try some sit-ups

Gee thanks. Are you trying to imply I'm fat? Hmmmm....lol. Hardly the case. The costume did have a small rip when I bought it. Didn't see the bigger one.
