I think 9-11 could have definitely been prevented. If we paid a little more attention to our immigrants in this country and didn't just give out a Visa to any Joe that comes along, none of this would have happened. Al Qaeda would have never gotten operatives in this country and would have to be content bombing embassies and such abroad.
National security isn't a joke or a game. It's very serious and this is the sort of thing that happens when Presidents and Congress fluff it off and try to buy off terrorists. Also, when elected officials are more concerned about the "civil liberties" of illegal aliens rather than the safety of their own taxpayers.

Look at the lawyers who volunteered to represent Saddam Hussein, in essence trying to get him off scot-free for the deaths of millions of people. And they're celebrated as great civil libertarians.
