Mint condition and uncirculated are two very different things.
Apparently it had some printing flaws which might make it more valuable.
We would occasionally get silver coins like quarter and half dollars as well as full dollar coins, silver certificates and, once, a gold certificate from kids in the school cafeteria. I tried to intercept them before they got to to the cafeteria.
I also always figured the kids had either done a B&E or got into MeeMaw's jewelry box.

I knew a guy in Europe that serviced video games. He always had a bunch of non standard coins. His boss only wanted the current coins, so he gave me the odd balls. I even scored a 1862 baiocchi. Some kid must have found it in a drawer at home and took it to the video arcade.
That was just weird.
