Here is their website and if you look at their news on the right, you'll se where they mention Maryland. On Friday, they will be protesting at a furneral for two teenagers killed in Baltimore County because they think God hates Maryland. It makes me sick that these people can be allowed to do this. They should be locked up in some nut house and never let out. I'd love to see them come to Southern Maryland and protest a funeral, don't think they'd make it out.

In doubt? Throttle out!
Haha they got Rick Roll'd! Good stuff.

One of the Scientology "churches" got Rick Roll'd too. It's on YouTube somewere.

I would love to counter-protest against the WBC. And by counter-protest, I mean firebomb.

They probably hate MD because wasn't here that the guy won the suit against them? I am pretty sure it was.

In March 2006, the group demonstrated in Westminster at the funeral of Lance Cpl. Matthew Snyder of Westminster. Phelps-Roper said the organization stood lawfully and peacefully aside from the Mass and no one went into the church, but they were still persecuted by the state of Maryland.

In an April 8th article.

Last November, a jury found that the church intentionally inflicted emotional distress upon Matthew Snyder's father, Albert Snyder of York, Pa. and awarded him $10.9 million. The award was recently reduced to $5 million.

Last week, a federal judge issued liens against the church and ordered two of its members to post cash bonds while they appeal the $5 million judgment resulting from the church's protest at Snyder's funeral. The church has filed a motion to stay the verdict.

The liens mean that no new mortgages can be taken out on the properties and no money can be borrowed against the equity in them.

They are vicious, ignorant A-holes. But if they get the permit to protest and don't touch anyone, I can't advocate taking away their right to do it. Remember, the right to not be offended is not listed in the bill of rights.

I don't advocate taking away their right to do it either.

I do, however, advocate making them the objects of ridicule, pranks and assorted mockery. And I advocate making them feel like the jibbering piles of steaming feces that they are. I advocate frustrating them at every turn.

I do.

There's nothing that says they *must* be granted a permit. Especially if their intent is to disrupt a private gathering. Permits to protest are denied every single day, yet these #######s find officials to sign off on it.

So who does that, grant a permit to protest? Is it a judge? Local or state official? THOSE are the people that need to be exposed.

You're not getting it. These people are psychologically damaged. They do not feel shame or embarrassment like normal people, or they wouldn't be protesting at funerals in the first place. These people are ridiculed every day on a national level, and they do not care.

I don't know who signs off on the permits, but you're right - they SHOULD be exposed and held accountable to the community for the groups they allow to protest in said community.

Counter protests are perfectly legal too. My evil mind is churning away trying to think of creative ways to humiliate them. Coming to Baltimore, eh? Oh John! Mr. Waters! I believe your services are required.
