You need to take your sarcasm detector in for a tune-up.You had me on the Braves Jerseys, You LOST me on Don to "manage".
I'm sure SMYFL will stay non-profit and private if that's the case.

I think they should bring Don back to "manage" the County League since he is the senior league in the county.
On the meeting tape, Arthur and Phil said they could handle adding the management of the leagues with the existing staff.
This means several things:
1) That there should be no added user fees or operating budget requirements to manage the league. Zero burden on the taxpayer!!
2) The existing staff at R&P is way underloaded if they have time to manage one of the most complex sports without any additional staff.
3) Someone has no idea what is involved in managing such a program.
Does anyone know if the Rec and Park has presented this issue to the Board of Commissioners?
If South County is playing and happy being a part of the Calvert League, then why is the R&P working so hard on getting South County playing again in St. Mary's county?
If this issue has been going on for a few years, why does the R&P choose now to get involved?
Because South County proved R&P wrong and was the only well run, successful league in St. Marys. There used to be a thread on here from a few years back that went on ad nauseum about this subject.
Now that Chris has put together a league that can fit equipment competently-and in 15 minutes a team, can run a league without resorting to profanity, is associated with a league that provides a schedule before the season starts - on and on the things that couldn't or wouldn't get done by Pigskin mgt. Rec & Parks has decided they need an established winner to found their attempt. That's why.
If you think that any of the above items are too ridiculous to talk about, talk to any parent who had to endure it.
If this is the case, then why did Chris to to sell his league? Why did St. Mary's County have to step in before South County was voted out of the Calvert league?
Why do you ask questions when you think you already know all the answers? Is it just to stir the pot some?
I have asked before and will ask again... someone show some shread of PROOF that shows Calvert tried to vote the Raiders out... PLEASE... show something that proves it... because otherwise its nothing more than nasty rumors being spread...
I don't know why Chris would want to sell the league, but he has done an outstanding job with it... maybe... just maybe... this is my guess... maybe since he has a full time job (other than running the league)... he might want to spend some of his off time with his family... maybe... running the league I'm sure takes away a lot of time... that is only my guess though... so I don't know for certain...
Sow what you are saying is you just make up and/or spread rumor, you do not corroborate it?Again, not all choose to put their head in the sand or flat our refuse to believe the events taking place around them throughout the tri-county area. Not to say the comments on this site are gospel, or even close to it, but they do indicate there are many things happening and contributing to the way football has, and will, evolve in St. Mary's county. Additionally, proving to you may not be important to the coaches of Calvert, or the Recreations and Parks of St. Mary's County.
Perhaps you should take some initiative and do a FOIA submission or establish some relationships that are close to this environment. There are many discussions and meetings on this within the county on a near continuous basis - or do you not believe this as well?
