Honestly the foodlion in Lusby is the worst for fresh milk and bread. Truth is if you need either on sunday or monday - they don't have it. Litterally no milk to be had on those days...just saying...makes me go to giant where i pay more. then again I find with these hot summer days the milk spoils in 48 hours if not used up. and i buy milk every other day....uhg!

Ugh!

I have no problem with Callaway Food Lion's milk. They are always fresh.

Do u work there? awful defensive about the freshness of milk

Nope, I'm just glad I found a store that I can depend on when needing a fresh milk.

Sorry to hear that Lusby doesn't have fresh milk, so you don't have to drive across the bridge for fresh milk.

Cook's Gas Station in Park Hall milk aren't fresh! Every time I buy milk there, it goes bad as soon as we opened it. I don't think they are doing something right to keep the milk fresh. :dead:

I don't mind waiting while they process coupons. If I have an internet coupon that won't scan and the girl wants to skip it or give it back, I ask for a supervisor. I figure if I took the time to shop and wait in line, they can properly process it - afterall I don't give false ones. Especially when most of the time these grocery stores don't have enough cashier to begin with.

Thanks for the sites - I will check them out, I need to cut food costs and my husband is anti pasta to save $

How is he with the leftovers? My husband won't eat them and I felt like I was throwing $$ in the trash. I started planning a meal that could then be used in the next meal. Say there's 1/2 a steak leftover, the next night I make salads with steak toppings or add the meat into tacos. It's helped alot with the waste.

I recently heard someone say that Safeway is going to discontinue their .10 gas discounts. Does anyone know if that's true?

I buy my meats there so I can get the discount and all else at FoodLion.
If there's no more discount I'll do all shopping at FoodLion.

I've tried to do that in the past, but left over steak is not something we normally have. Usually I cook appropriate meat portions and have left over veggies or pasta/rice. When I do serve leftovers I hear complaints. Sometimes men are quite difficult. My husband wants mainly healthy options which can be time consuming and expensive and then tells me I should make more affordable food. Sometimes I just call him at work and tell him I can't find the cook - she must have left early, so he should bring home dinner. Then he tells me to call in something and let him know where to pick up. Then I tell him the secretary is no where to be found either...He eventually wises up and brings something yummy home like Moes.
