Cove Point Park

Just heard the new playground is finished and open. I took my four year old son up twice this week and he loves it. It was really crowded on Sunday, but Monday morning it was only pre-school age kids. Anyone else been? Hopefully they are planning on adding some more benches and picnic tables around. It would be nice to have a picnic lunch there.

The park has actually been open for a few weeks now and the kids love it. Hopefully the teenagers stay away from it and everything will be good. The water park should open Memorial Day I guess which just makes Cove Point a great place to go. I just wish there was a small playground up by field 4 as the little ones get restless watching older kiddos softball games LOL.

:yeahthat: My kids love it. I can definitely see kids getting hurt on that merry go round with the mix of big and little ones.

Reference Post #3 in this thread.... I checked out your CRE site and couldn't find any info on the park itself.

Just curious. Can anyone tell me where it is located? My kids wanted to go to it the other day but because we are new to the area we couldn't figure out where it was. :confused:

It's located on Cove Point Road, also known as 497. If you turn off of rt 4 onto 497 and go about 2 miles it will be on your left.
