Cracked Windshield

I woke up to find a crack running from the very bottom of my windshield up about 4 inches and then over about 4 inches. It's too big for a repair so it looks like we have to replace it. MD isn't one of those states that force insurance to waive the deductible so I'm out of luck there.

It looks like I'm going to have to pay for a windshield so can anyone recommend a good place.

Oh heck, why do that? Lately I have noticed a lot of vehicles driving with badly cracked windshields. Doesn't seem to bother them or the police. Save your $$.

whatever you do, do not go to Gragan & Sons in White Plains!!! I had my windshield replaced by them and it leaked and they would not repair it...said my car had been in an accident which it had not. A & M Glass finally repaired it for me and it is great now.

NOT A & M Glass in Hughesville. Took them 4 tries to get the windshield right in my Focus. Put it in wrong, sealant goop all over the place, scratch paint (down to bare metal) all over the place, in LARGE patches. Avoid them like the plague.

There's a guy out of Solomons/Lusby but I cant think of the name, he comes to your home or office, nice guy came to my house in Charlotte Hall once.
I have used A&M in Hughsville many times and only once had a problem.
Im in need of windshield repair at this time also, had the tinyist(sp) chip and in Feb. on one of those cold mornings on way to work, that little chip snapped and went all the way across the window.

I just had Royal glass replace my windshield on Friday they came right to my work and he was done in about 40 minutes. Great job. Oh and yes they can get onto the base.
