Just looks like regular highlights done with a cap...but the cap had really big holes in it.

I can't say for certain that that's how hers were done or not. But a vertical highlight looks different from the traditional across weaving.

Have you ever had foil highlights? They pick up a section of hair and weave in and out of that section from one side to the other. Everything is done horizontally. Vertical highlights are the exact same thing just done vertically.

The asain girl with the color on just one side has them. You'll have to wait for it to come to her pic. I can't figure out how to get that one pic out of the slide show.

It just sounds like the "stripes" will be vertical. :lol:

Well I most certainly didn't make up the name for them. The girl that did my hair last winter told me what they were when I brought in a picture of something I liked.

Me either. My hair's too thick for that cut anyways. But I really like the high and lowlights, it's very pretty.
