No one else here at my work had seen it....I loved it and so my copy is slowly making its way thru the building....Could not hang with American History X, too violent for me. Crash has certainly been the catalyst for some great conversations here! I agree with MainMan about the black on black.....What do you all think of Crash being shown to ...say, 9th or 10th graders? We have required books, why not film?

I personally think it is a wonderful idea to show this to students. Yes, the language is a bit "rough" for some (not I, but some) and some other things might not be "kosher".. but I do find it to be something that should be given the opportunity.

My friend who is a teacher- is proposing the idea to the principal and the board. To see if this would be something that they could show- in her class. Maybe once it is showing in her class- it will catch like wildfire and other teachers will want to proceed with this.

Though I'm not a huge fan of Crash, I believe it's a fantastic idea to show it in high school classes. It does have a very good message and it seems to be something modern youths can relate to and be both entertained and moved by. I am sure it would compel them more than a boring documentary where tons of white men tell them how relevant Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. still is. This is an in your face, thrilling film which applies it's message to real-life situations most of us could theoretically find ourselves in.

I would also love to see Syriana and The Constant Gardener shown in high school classes.
