Democrat Sen. Mazie Hirono Issues ‘Call to Arms’ When Debating Abortion Ban

Democrat extremism in the wake of President Joe Biden’s “Dark MAGA” speech heated up some more on Wednesday when Sen. Mazie Hirono (D-HI) issued a “call to arms” on the Senate floor while debating a national abortion ban.

“When I hear my colleagues talking about how, you know, ‘it should be state rights’ or ‘government should not be telling us what to do,’ the word ‘hypocrites,’ it doesn’t even go far enough to call them out on what they’re doing,” said Hirono.

“This is an outright attack on women in this country,” she continued. “That is how I see it. That is how more and more women and those who support our right to make decisions about our own bodies, that is how we see it. Why? Because that’s what’s happening.”

Hirono concluded her speech by saying the proposed abortion ban after 15 weeks is “literally a call to arms in our country.”

I find it a good move on the Dems part. She and others are right. All the Reps were saying the issue should go back to the States. Now Lindsey is floating a ban after 15 weeks proposal. I know what he's attempting to do, but it looks like it is backfiring big time.

Unfortunately Lindsay comes across as someone who ISN'T going to propose a reasonable bill.

But I do think a ban after a certain point - with exceptions for life of mother, rape and incest - are totally reasonable and comparable to what is implemented virtually all over the planet.

HIS proposal - is actually rather fair. It's close to what is done in, say, Germany, hardly a hotbed of religions conservatism.

And the original proposals accompanying Roe were - similar. They've just been mutated to this barbaric version we have now, where it's acceptable to kill a child seconds before birth.

I don't know if anybody's followed the bill that just passed in the WV legislature. Abortion for rape/incest will be allowed IF a police report is filed.

Abortion is a Womans choice no one else
I agree there. but.---Don't you think 15 weeks is enough time for a reasonably intelligent woman to make up her mind? I mean after 15 weeks it also becomes more dangerous for the woman ,not to mention that the child has become sensitive to pain, and should not be tortured because the mother wants it dead.

The incest one I’m not going to agree with. They were either raped by their kin, in which the rape exception rule applies, or they wanted to have sex with them and they’re just going to have to follow the same rules as everyone else.

Send her ass back to Japan where she came from. Issue her a vacuum where she can suck their babies out of the womb.

Dave Chappell has it right if you can abort it, I can abandon it. Nuff said.

I got into a back & forth on another site about this. I said women say its their right to choose, but what about the father. I was told the father has a say. I said if the woman says its her choice he has no say. Then I kept being told the father has a say. If the woman decides she doesn't want it, its still only her choice. The father has no say.

There's not point in arguing with these people because they're all mental, and when confronted with a fact that conflicts with their programming they'll just go, "Nuh uh, that didn't happen!"

:yay:

Two that come to mind are the oft repeated "Fine People" hoax and "Inject them with bleach" chants.

No matter how many times video and audio are played and show it didn't happen... you get "Nuh-uh!!!" :jameo: "He said it! I heard it!"

Some of these women would have to have a town hall like meeting to find out who the father was.

I wonder if she applied this logic when the discussion was about mandating the Covid vax shots...
