How many can one buy at a time tomorrow?

one per customer.

If you want one to resell you better get in line now. For example Wal-Mart had around 40 xbox 360's for sale on the release day. Microsoft has just under one million units released to the US for the initial shipment.

Sony has less than half of that so each store is going to get a much smaller shipment than they had originaly planned.

For the people who wait in line this will mean a much higher return on your investment

A manager at a Toys R Us in Rockville was on DC 101 this morning, and said that her store received 8 to sell. 8. Which makes me wonder, if a TRU in Rockville only got 8, how many do you think will be in SMC? What do we have Target, Walmart, Best Buy, and KMart? We could have 30 in the entire county for sale. :jameo: :jameo: :jameo:

After seeing the lines at Best Buy, Target & Walmart...I called Kmart and they said they don't have ANY left. Apparently there were 2 people that were camping out at Kmart last night, well Kmart doesn't allow people to camp out, but since they were there they get the 2 PS3's that Kmart received....

when I asked her if it was like a presale/pre-order kind of thing she said no, we can not sell them before Friday. So how can they "sell" them to these 2 people already? lol, is it just me, or does it seem like that if kmart doesn't allow campers, then those 2 people got REALLY lucky!

Stores like Toys R us, Game Stop, exc. Get very low quantities. The amount of systems they get is based on the $ ammoun tof games and accesories they sell during the year.

Walmart and Best Buy get the highest number of systems out of all the stores.

I would expect Walmart and Best buy to each get around 20-30 systems each.

Toys R Us did all their sales through pre orders. They only sold pre orders for the number of systems they were getting. Unlike some other stores that sold pre orders for more systems than they were getting.

Have you been to a Toys R Us Electronics Section? Is that $ figured based on the Nationwide Chains or the individual stores? because I could only imagine that a Toys R Us in Rockville sells tons more games/access than our beloved California Walmart...and they only got 8.

It is based on the Company. Walmart as a chain does a much higher volume than Toys R Us. Then it is up to the Company to deside how to distribute the systems to there stores.

I remember someone getting their xbox360 jacked when they got to their car.....watch out people!

No kidding. My son and I had this conversation the other day. Explained how I couldn't camp out to get this thing. Can't take off from work, etc. He suggested I stop at the Walmart on my way to work Friday morning. I work in DC...that would be Clinton. Um hm. 135 pound blonde-headed me rolling out of Walmart in Clinton at 6:30 a.m. with a PS3 in my hand, grabbing my keyfob to unlock the door to my pimped out DeNali. BOOOM. They take my PS3, my truck and popped a cap in my head. Yeah, that sounds like something you'd hear about on the 8:00 edition of Channel 9 news...No thank you.
