Actually my wife read it. Best thing we have used is the corredction for bad words or talking back. We started with the hot sauce like it was state din the book, but vinegar is much cheaper and less messy. A little spray after some backtalk or some inappropriate words is effective.

Actually my wife did. We used hot sauce for back talk and bad words and it worked well. We have since switched to vinegar because it is less expensive and less messy, but no less effective.Speedy70 said:

From checking out this link and reading some of the reviews on amazon, I'd say the advice in this book quickly crosses over the line of discipline. Never thought I'd say this when I was growing up, but what ever happened to a good old fashioned butt-whoopin?
The person who wrote that "review" is an obvious kook. None of the quotes from the book that she cites as examples of "torture" and "child abuse" sound particularly bad to me.

People these days are so scared to discipline their children. I'm not saying they need to be beaten, but a good whack every now and then. I get so tired of seeing bratty kids when I go out in public. I practically laugh in the parents face because they have no control over their children. Children need limits and so many kids today have none.
My mom never hesitated to beat my arse, and I turned out fine. :shrug:
