I believe the 900 MHz and below on cordless phones can be picked up on scanners. I have one above and below, the one below is going to the dump soon, but I can here all the static when some ones scanner is tuned in on it. I have a scanner that I don't use much. The good phone is about 2.something MHz. So many dam criminals out there, crazy. Nothing worse than some taking your hard earned money.
It isnt the frequency that matters, it is the modulation. If it is an old analog phone I can listen to that with some cheap gear, if it is digital spread spectrum it is much much harder.
