I made bbq pulled pork yesterday. I followed the recipe on the back of the McCormick's seasoning packet. It was really good.

Here's my simple pot roast recipe:

1 3 or 4 lbs roast
3 potatos cut in quarters
2 medium onions cut in quarters
3 or 4 carrots cut into 2 inch pieces
3 cans of beef broth

Slow cook for 10 hours

If anyone knows anything that would make my recipe better, please feel free to let me know. I'm a terrible cook, so I'm open for new ideas!

I like to cook too! Which is why we're remodeling our kitchen. Moving out the little electric stove and moving in the Wolf 48" gas range :yahoo:

This crockpot thing is killing me. I made the Calico caserole (which was really good), but I had to brown the ground beef in the microwave...that was interesting

I'd kill for one of those! Lucky girl!!

I have wanted one forever! I can't wait to get it installed and use it. It's killing me because it is sitting in my kitchen, boxed up and covered with moving blankets so the drywall guys don't dent it.

Deer BarBQ....

Deer roast
BarBQ sauce of choice
can of regular soda

Place roast in crock-pot
add can of soda
1cup minimum of sauce
add water enough to just cover roast

cook on high all day
longer it cooks the easier it comes apart
drain and pull roast apart

add as much sauce as you want and let stand on low for about 1/2hr
then serve

all ingredients are to taste- add/subtract to your preference

Usually make this for husband to take to work and share - the guys love it!

R.I.P. Bobo, We miss you!
I used to have a toaster oven and sold it a few years ago at a yard sale cause we never used it. Go figure :lmao:

I just went through the same thing, two months w/o a kitchen. Microwave, toaster oven and small foreman grill. Wish I would have thought more about the crockpot!!!
