Cruise nights?

There was a stretch some years ago where I used to live where you could hit a decent-sized cruise night pretty much any day of the week. But I've had terrible luck finding any down this way for quite some time. I don't have anything to show, just want to go out and see what other people have for interesting stuff. Is anyone still doing any in the general SoMD area?

Myabe you can make some contacts via Car Show News - Maryland Car Show Schedule

We need more cruise night type of event IMO. The PF deal used to be like that, but now your car has to be a certain age, which leaves out quite a few people.

Yeah although I don't have that problem, they should just let anyone show though it might get too big for K-mart to appreciate.

Aren't too many of you folks out there though I have picked a few out from the treads of my Mickey Thompsons! :lmao:

Since we've gotten our bug I have noticed more on the road... 2 tone one on base, green one @ the offices behind IHOP across from Pax, converted red truck bug/truck St. Inigoes, Tan w/luggage rack works on base, another vert 74 around here in St. Mary's, Buddy Lee here on the forums and my neighbor just got one 74 super needs work (don't they all).

I love'em. Seen some serious power get pulled out of those things. New a guy years ago in Myrtle Beach that had one with a full tube chassis and a 454 under the bonnet. Had a big giant spinning wind up key on the back end.

I doudbt it would be too much, they have that whole section that few people park in, I think its mainly to keep the kids that drive like idiots out but it keeps other people out too.

I agree. Being that most cruise nights are geriatric conventions! :lmao: So gonna catch hell for that! Start bringing in the kids and someone likely to get in trouble. In fact last time I was there by buddy was there with his 10 second 66 Chevelle Wagon as well as his son who also has a 70ish Chevelle. later that evening I saw the son doing burnouts at the Valvoline place across the street from K-mart. I called dad to let him know that big brother was watching his son act the fool. he came home to an ear full! :lmao:

Thanks for the tip. I'll probably head down to Leanordtown tomorrow if it's nice out. I just need an excuse to take the little Miata out for a spin.

Just got in the clamp and pulley we needed to get her back on the road... Also got the kick a$$ steering wheel! I LOVE IT! Its so big. The one currently on there is a smaller racing wheel.

We might cruise Ltown :howdy: See you there if we do.

Working nights for awhile so no fun during the week for me. I will be there in spirit and shredded rubber!

I use to go on a few cruises around the area, most of them were mustang cruises but a few are a variety of cars. I know there is a cruise up to gaithersburg this week i think. There are usually car shows all around too. I am always up for a good cruise though.

Gas prices being what they are its hard to make runs up that far in my car. Sucks.
