Cruise nights?

I agree. Being that most cruise nights are geriatric conventions! :lmao: So gonna catch hell for that! Start bringing in the kids and someone likely to get in trouble. In fact last time I was there by buddy was there with his 10 second 66 Chevelle Wagon as well as his son who also has a 70ish Chevelle. later that evening I saw the son doing burnouts at the Valvoline place across the street from K-mart. I called dad to let him know that big brother was watching his son act the fool. he came home to an ear full! :lmao:

 oh man im sure he did!!

Nice thing about Miatas, I can be hammer down all day on that thing and still get 27 MPG.

But I'll admit they're not for everyone.

I love miatas. Funny thing I saw the other day though was a picture showing a dude driving one and a quote that had something to do with not needing a rainbow sticker to express yourself if you drive one! :lmao:

Oh and I have to fogive you for even mentioning that you think a Miata has a hammer in it of any kind! More like a gas application device or a gas pushy thing! :lmao:

Just teasing! :buddies:

Indeed, and im thinking it would be quite a fun lil ride!

Thats alot of front end weight. Hope they moved some things around. hate to get out of the groove with that thing though. Such a short wheel base. That could be scary ride if you hit the jersey wall and end up having a 5.0 liter imprint on your forehead! :lmao: And my being a chevy guy would hate to have a Ford imprint anywhere! :lmao:

I definitely think the short wheel base would make it interesting, but in terms of weight the ad says that it only weighs 150lb more than stock.

 i could imagine you'd be against a Ford imprint.

Actually the Miata is one of the most common cars you will see road racing on the weekend. It is not expensive to race, and is one the few modern cars that is true sports car in the fact that it is rear wheel drive and a well balanced roadster.

Still isn't my thing, but I like em.
I remember the first time I saw a Monster Miata. I heard the rumble of a loud V8 and was looking all over the place for the source of that sound. I was surprised when the little Miata pulled away carrying that rumble with it.

From what I understand, a SBC or SBF doesn't weigh that much more than the stock four-banger. Obviously it's going to be something that'll have to be sorted out suspension-wise but it doesn't have to be an unruly beast.

My dad has a fake Cobra with a stock 302 - weighs less than the Miata with probably the same or shorter wheelbase. Says it's something you have to stay on top of, but it's not a death machine on wheels. He won't let me drive the thing because he's afraid I'll scare myself.

FWIW I trucked on down to the Leanordtown cruise last week and it wasn't bad. Hung around for a half hour and the old crocs started puttering in. Shot the breeze with a guy who has the same Cobra kit as my dad, ogled a couple older Buicks and headed home.

I kept my little furrin car parked off to the side. Looked a little out of place compared to the big American iron.
