Out of the Seven Deadly Sins-
Which one do you think is the worst and why?
And which do you think should not be in there?

Greed

Gluttony

Lust

Envy

Sloth

Wrath

Pride

I personally think that the worst one is Greed. For the fact that, no matter what that is showing selfishness in all aspects.

I personally think all of these are pretty bad, and not to be removed, but Pride is the lesser of all those. In my opinion anyway:cheesy:

Of these I chose "Wrath". Everything else involves yourself, but your "wrath" is inflicted upon others. I feel that no matter what you may choose to do to yourself, you should not cause harm to other living beings.
wrath - a violent, resentful anger; rage; fury

Just to ruin the fun for everybody,

These words have a bad rap as "the seven deadly sins".

Some of any one of them or some of all of them are good for you and the society as a whole.

There is no appropriate amount of:

Murder
Rape
Robbery

There can be a little greed and there can be to much greed but only in the context of something like "working seven days a week" may hurt all the other parts of your life, especially if you have family. Greed that leads to stealing is no longer greed, it is a crime. See my point?

Another one, pride. We might say "he has to much pride to admit he is wrong" but what we really mean is that he is to stupid. He could also be said to not have enough pride to admit he is wrong.

They’re not absolutes, IMHO.

I think there is somewhat of a misperception of the "Seven Deadly Sins". The Seven Deadly Sins are what are "fatal" to your OWN spiritual progress, so they really aren't intended to judged in how they harm others, just your own soul.

It may be an oblique reference to 1 John 5:16-17, when the terms "deadly sins" were first coined. In that respect, I believe you are correct.

Aw well, perhaps I am more new age in my religious preference, or perhaps I am more of a philosphy follower/studier when it comes to words and their meanings. So therefore I will stick with wrath as my choice as the deadliest of sins - after all a physical violent rage usually does turn "deadly". Of course if you want to follow it onwards into personal experience, can you just imagine the pain and guilt one must suffer after inflicting their wrath on an innocent? How can one ever atone for that "sin"?

I think they are all equally deadly to one's soul, as they all have the ability to consume you if you don't keep them in check.

I agree too except for Gluttony! I think it should be the 6 deadly sins.
