Dads knees or a Jeep?

I don't see nothing wrong with her keeping the money. He obviously has money to spare and I think it must be fun for him to be able to give it out to people he wants rather than to some faceless charity.

Do you think she shoudl have spent the money to help her father's knee's out or a Jeep? If anything maybe she should split the money; or she can do something nice in return for the guy and buy him something encompassing the entire $10K (less taxes) amount in return. Maybe buy him a Russian Bride or something.

I would find a really cheap used car, if I needed one, and put the rest toward my dad. My mom would be on her own though.
