I'm beginning to find out that a 'graduation' gift is one of the hardest to buy. I'm trying to find something unique and that will be used academically for years to come for my girl friends graduation. Besides the obvious, a watch or Franklin's, what else is there to possibly get?

TIA

Pen and Pencil set is passe'
Watch is nice but unimaginative.
Computer is a nice thought but difficult to pick out.
Car is great but not academic.
Subscription to her profession's official journal is not too romantic.

Someone got me the book "the places you'll go" by Dr. Suess when I graduated HS. They put a little note at the front. i thought it was a cute idea.

That's what I give all graduates as a card, instead of hokey graduation cards from Hallmark.

I like this idea. I also like the journal idea. You can write a message on the front cover to make it "special."

You need to provide details as to what she’s getting into, her age, her goals……..

Buddy, what does she plan on doing now? College? If so, what does she plan on majoring in?

-Calling cards are ALWAYS usefull especially if she's going away.
-Picture frames with pics of her friends already in them.
