Form your own opinion, go there.khall1195 said:I've never eaten at a Damon's before, I'd like to hear opinions of the place.
Well, the BBQ pork isn't bad at Damon's, but you'd be much better off at Bear Creek in Callaway. Of course, unlike Damon's, Bear Creek doesn't have big-screen TVs. So are you a Memphis tomato-red BBQ fan, or a Carolina peppers-in-cider-vinegar BBQ fan?khall1195 said:I've never eaten at a Damon's before, I'd like to hear opinions of the place.

As chain restaurants go... Appleby's is the only one I ever really liked. I can take my kids there and the food is dependably edible.
Outback has never appealed to me. I prefer small private places most of the time.... I like Willow's..
BTW.. I heard that the Linda Linda's Cafe has bought out the Willows...Is there any truth to that?

What *really* ruined it for me with their wings was when I asked if they could make them without the breading - and the waiter told me that that's the way they come frozen in the bag. Ewwww. If I wanted them that way, I'd just buy 'em from Giant like that.wmsaunders said:I'm not a fan of their wings. The sandwiches are pretty good though. I used to take the kids their on Tuesday nights. Kids under 10 ate for $1.00 and they played cartoons on the big screens during dinner hours.
OMG!!! I think their wings are the best I have had! I love them.wmsaunders said:I'm not a fan of their wings. The sandwiches are pretty good though. I used to take the kids their on Tuesday nights. Kids under 10 ate for $1.00 and they played cartoons on the big screens during dinner hours.
Did something happen in May for you to lose your memory? :shrug:LexiGirl75 said:I live around the corner from Damon's (as does everyone in LP) when coming home I love the smell of the restaurant. I have been only once and I was really impressed at the tv screens with the radio on the table as with the children's coloring mats and half circle booths. The bathrooms I heard were not that great but the food pretty much was enjoyable. Of course that was in May and I dont remember too much. Best to go to check it out for yourself.
